At the age of 14 I began my photography career working at the local newspaper (The South Eastern Times) in Millicent S.A. It was there labouring under the orange glow of the safelights, up to my elbows in developer and fixer I began producing images for publication. I was then as I am now, fascinated by photography and the process of making images and their impact in our lives.
In so many ways nothing has changed. Well maybe that is an overstatement, but with a stretch of the imagination you get my meaning. I studied scientific photography at R.M.I.T and then worked for a number of organisations before deciding to start my own commercial photography business. So that is a very quick overview of how I got to where I am today.
Parallax’s large studio is set in amongst an Australian Native garden, facilities include a fully equipped kitchen, Model/dressing room, rest areas and client meeting spaces. We are centrally located in St.Kilda East, 8km from Melbourne CBD.
Ines Ros manages Parallax Photography, sometimes wrongly accused of being temperamental, Ines liaises with clients to ensure all communications with clients proceeds with an efficiency rarely seen in the workplace.
I have been photographing for over 25 years, and my current client list includes Agilent, Amcor, DFAT Australia Awards, Exxon Mobil Australia, The Austin Hospital, Tabcorp, APP, Inlite, Invetech and Norman Disney and Young.
The projects I work on are many and varied, covering Advertising, Industrial, Editorial and Annual Reportage.
